Unrushed evaluations, real conversation, and clear treatment plans, delivered by video across New Jersey. Care built around understanding, not a ten-minute prescription.
Madison is home to Drew University and Fairleigh Dickinson's Florham campus, and a community of professionals commuting along the Morris and Essex line. For students and working adults here, careful psychiatric care can be hard to fit in. ANK Behavioral Health was built for longer evaluations and clear, understandable treatment plans.
Because visits happen over secure video, Drew students, faculty, and local professionals across Madison can see the same provider consistently, without a commute cutting into class, work, or family time.
Serving Drew University and Fairleigh Dickinson Florham students, faculty, and staff, plus commuting professionals across the Madison area. Care is delivered entirely by secure video, so it fits around classes, research, clinical rotations, and work.
Anxiety, depression, and attention concerns often surface first during college and graduate school. We evaluate carefully and explain what we find, so you understand what is happening rather than just leaving with a label.
Secure video means you keep the same provider through midterms, breaks, rotations, and moves within New Jersey. Continuity does not depend on staying near Madison year round.
Initial evaluations run 60 to 90 minutes, longer than most student health visits, with conservative, evidence-based prescribing and time to talk through options and timelines.
A note for students in crisis: ANK Behavioral Health does not provide emergency or crisis services. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, call 911, or contact your campus counseling or public safety office right away.
ANK Behavioral Health was built to occupy the gap between high-volume practices where appointments feel transactional and cash-only models that price most people out. Initial evaluations run 60 to 90 minutes because an accurate diagnosis takes real conversation, a careful history, and time to think.
A meaningful part of every visit is dedicated to education. You leave understanding what your diagnosis means, why a treatment option is recommended, what timelines look like, and the reasoning behind each decision. Prescribing is conservative and evidence-based, never driven by speed or convenience.
A note on scope: we provide general adult outpatient psychiatry. We do not prescribe Schedule II stimulants or ongoing daily benzodiazepines, and we do not offer in-person visits, MAT, or forensic evaluations. When a need falls outside outpatient care, we refer transparently and support the transition.
Madison combines Drew University and the Fairleigh Dickinson Florham campus with a base of Morris County commuters, a population balancing academic and professional demands. Unhurried psychiatric care by video gives these students and working adults a dependable place to be evaluated with real attention rather than speed.
Initial evaluations are 60 to 90 minutes and follow-ups are 30 to 45. Visits are built for assessment and real conversation, not a brief medication check.
Diagnoses, medication mechanisms, timelines, risks, and alternatives are explained in plain language so you can take part in informed decisions.
We accept major commercial carriers through Headway, so appointment depth and careful evaluation do not require concierge rates.

Yes. ANK Behavioral Health serves all of Madison and the surrounding area by secure video, including Florham Park, Chatham, Convent Station, and Morristown. Whether you are near the Drew campus or elsewhere in the borough, you can meet the same provider consistently from home.
Yes. We accept major commercial plans through Headway, including Horizon BCBS of NJ and most BCBS plans, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Oscar, Optum, and Quest Behavioral Health. Self-pay rates are $500 for the initial evaluation and $250 for follow-ups, and superbills are available for out-of-network reimbursement. We do not accept Medicaid.
All appointments take place over secure, HIPAA-compliant video. You will need to be comfortable joining a video call, completing digital intake forms, and using the secure patient portal for messages between visits. The telehealth format does not reduce clinical depth. The same evaluation and continuity apply as they would in person.
Medication is a tool, not a personality change. Appropriate medication supports your baseline functioning rather than erasing your identity or emotional range. We explain how a medication works, what to expect, and realistic timelines, and we prescribe conservatively. We do not prescribe Schedule II stimulants or ongoing daily benzodiazepines.
If life around Madison and Drew has crowded out your mental health, book a thorough, unhurried psychiatric evaluation by video across New Jersey and leave with a plan you understand.
