Alyssa Killion is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and the founder of ANK Behavioral Health, LLC, providing evidence-based telehealth psychiatric care to adults across New Jersey. Her clinical interests include anxiety, depression, mood disorders, OCD, PTSD and trauma, borderline personality disorder, postpartum mental health, complex presentations, and the use of pharmacogenetic testing to help guide medication choices, with a commitment to careful diagnosis and individualized, evidence-based treatment.
Her work is grounded in careful assessment, clinical reasoning, and open, honest conversation. She takes time to understand the full picture — not just symptoms, but patterns, context, and contributing factors — before making treatment decisions. Patients often seek her out for diagnostic clarity, medication complexity, or when prior treatment hasn’t felt quite right.
Alyssa’s approach is collaborative and educational. She believes patients should understand their diagnosis, their options, and the reasoning behind each recommendation. Treatment often integrates medication management with practical therapeutic strategies, including CBT-informed and supportive approaches.
She has also served as an adjunct faculty member and clinical supervisor for graduate nursing students, contributing to the training and development of future psychiatric providers. This experience informs her work in complex diagnostic evaluation and thoughtful treatment planning.
