Short Biography

Dana Reimers is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a decade of experience in nursing, including eight years in a Level I trauma center emergency department.

Her background in emergency medicine taught her to remain calm under pressure and stay steady during high-stress moments. It also reinforced the importance of meeting people where they are and treating every patient with compassion and dignity, especially during vulnerable moments.

Dana’s style as a provider is warm, approachable, and nonjudgmental. She works to create a comfortable environment where patients feel heard, understood, and safe being open about what they’re experiencing, and she believes a little humor, when it fits, can make even difficult conversations feel less intimidating. Her approach is collaborative and person-centered, and she meets each patient where they are while working together toward realistic goals.

Patients can expect Dana to take the time to understand not just their symptoms, but how those symptoms are affecting everyday life. She believes patients should be active participants in their own care, so she focuses on open communication, education, and building an individualized treatment plan together — one that considers medication, therapy, lifestyle, physical health, and life circumstances alongside each patient’s own goals and preferences. Above all, she hopes patients leave every appointment feeling heard, understood, supported, and confident that they have someone in their corner.
